the Company Roni Abrams
Associates Limited, established in 1981, is an educational training and management
consulting firm. We specialize in perceptual training emphasizing interpersonal
communications. Our founder and president,
Roni Abrams, developed a technology in human communications which enables people
to alter the way they perceive and interpret information. It is this technology
that makes our consulting, coaching and training unique. By
using this technology we empower those we work with to see and hear the world
in new ways. Opportunities and possibilities open up where they did not exist
before. This technology impacts all areas
of human endeavor: business, science, art, government and international relations.
The work transcends industry and product or service categories. It can be
applied to human resources/personnel issues, new business development, branding,
sales/negotiations strategies, community outreach, forecasting trends, crisis
management, media relations, public speaking, fundraising, securing venture capital,
merging corporate cultures and strategic planning. History
Roni Abrams began her career as a journalist. Right from the start she recognized
something very unusual was happening while she was interviewing her subjects.
They were revealing information about themselves they had not made public.
She questioned why they were doing this without saying it was off the record.
The typical response was, "I know you came to portray me in the best possible
light and I want to give you the information to do so. I know you really care
because you listen and I feel safe." Roni realized that if she was being
singled out because she listened, that indicated most people did not. From
that point on she began to study the dynamics of human interaction - how
we listen and speak. Roni had become
intrigued with the way people communicated in the sales process. She wanted to
discover first hand what skills were required to be a masterful salesperson. Roni
went from the creative end of publishing to the business side of advertising
space sales. She applied her ability to listen and speak to this endeavor
and closed one out of every two prospects she met.
After engaging in thousands of conversations, both as a writer and sales professional,
she fine-tuned her work in perception and listening. The technology she created
in human communications is designed to have a permanent impact on an individual's
personal and professional effectiveness. According to Roni Abrams, "Everything
